Rapid Intake e-learning software was designed to be extended to handle almost any situation and do amazing things! The Rapid Intake Marketplace connects developers with the rest of the community for the purpose of selling and sharing those extensions.

Do you want to sell or share your custom course interfaces, engaging learning interactions, or other extensions to Rapid Intake e-learning software? Do you have e-learning Flash templates that generate Flash movies that can be integrated with Rapid Intake tools? Connect with other users in the community by becoming part of the Rapid Intake Marketplace. Scheduled to launch June 16, 2010, the Rapid Intake Marketplace will reach thousands of e-learning developers in the Rapid Intake community.

Develop

Build stunning interfaces (UIs), engaging interactions, or other extensions to Rapid Intake with the included Flash source files (.FLA and .AS) and accompanying SDK extensibility components.

Test

See how your extensions will work with Rapid Intake tools by testing in the ProForm Professional Edition. Please contact Jeff Batt for details. To be accepted into the Marketplace, your extension will first be tested by Rapid Intake.

Sell / Share

Sell or share your e-learning course styles, e-learning interactions, Flash templates, and other extensions on the Rapid Intake Marketplace. Reach thousands of Rapid Intake users through the Rapid Intake Marketplace.

FAQ

Q: If I am selling something for Unison and ProForm, do I have to submit them separately?
A: Page templates, yes. Course styles, no. Page templates required a different process for building forms between Unison and ProForm. Course styles are compatible with both without any changes.

Q: Do I have to sell the source files?
A: No, but we recommend that you do offer it. Providing the source files will allow your customers to customize them to fit their own needs and you can charge a higher price.

Q: If I do offer my source files, what should I charge for them?
A: We recommend charging 2x the amount of the normal SWF price. You choose the price, so it is up to you.

Q: Shouldn't I be worried about people using my source files to undermine my own business?
A: It's possible and only you can decide if you want to take that risk. However, we do require that the customer specifically agree to the licensing agreement in which it states that they cannot distribute, sell, or share the files with any other users. We have offered source files to our products for years and have not found it to be a problem. On the contrary, it has opened up new possibilities and increased our revenue.

Q: Why do my files have to be tested by Rapid Intake?
A: We want the Rapid Intake Marketplace to have a solid reputation, so that customer know they can purchase with confidence.

Q: How do you handle support?
A: You support your interactions. Your customer will receive an email with instructions on how to contact support if they need help with your interaction.

Q: What if my learning interactions are general in nature, not specifically intended for Rapid Intake?
A: No problem! We would still love to have you sell your interactions to our users. As long as the output can generate a Flash movie (.swf), it's likely they will work with Rapid Intake tools. If Adobe Flash is required, indicate that on your form as part of the description.

Q: What will Rapid Intake do to advertise the Marketplace?
A: Among other things, our plans include issuing periodic press releases, advertising on the Rapid Intake website, highlighting in the Rapid Intake newsletter and direct email advertising.
